Johanna Agerman Ross is a design curator and writer, she studied for an MA in History of Design at the Royal College of Art.
Since 2023 she is the Chief Curator at the Design Museum in London where she is part of the senior leadership team and leads the curatorial and publishing departments. She was previously a curator of 20th-century and contemporary product and furniture design at the Victoria & Albert Museum, where she helped found the museum’s new initiative Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures and co-curated the Design 1900-Now Gallery.
Johanna has worked in the design and cultural sectors for over 15 years and through this work she has built an international profile and a vast network of contacts in the creative industries. In 2011 she founded the design journal Disegno, of which she is still the director.
Johanna was born in Sweden and came to London to study on a scholarship at the Swedish School and later was a student at London College of Fashion and the Royal College of Art.
