Printing in wool with Christien Meindertsma
Founding Curator
I was the founding curator of Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures, a programme launched at the V&A in February 2022. It invites practitioners from different disciplines to share research, knowledge and skills related to the use of natural renewable materials in design and architecture. The project features an annual display, symposium and an acquisitions initiative, all supported by John Makepeace OBE. For the third edition of Make Good: Rethinking Material Futures we invited the Dutch designer Christien Meinderstmas to present her groundbreaking research into waste, natural and renewable materials, specifically linoleum and wool. This was the last project I commissioned while working as a curator at the V&A.
